SAN SEBASTIAN, Spain -- A smattering of sales marked the midway point of the San Sebastian International Film Festival as the Spanish film industry used the country's biggest movie event as a platform for a series of announcements. Antonio Llorens picked up all Spanish rights official competition entry Sleeping Dogs Lie, the Bobcat Goldthwait comedy from France's Gaumont. Llorens will distribute through his Lauren Films. Madrid-based sales agent Bulbeck & Mas sold U.S. cable rights to a midsize package of films that includes Iciar Bollain's Flowers From Another World and Jorge Nebra's Habanece to Venevision's Spanish-language movie channel Venimovies. »
