Pregnant Peet To Tie the Knot This Weekend

29 September 2006 | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Pregnant actress Amanda Peet will tie the knot this weekend with screenwriter fiance David Benioff. The Whole Nine Yards star appeared on the Late Show With David Letterman on Wednesday and discussed her pregnancy and impending nuptials. Peet claims she was nervous about telling her fellow cast mates on her new TV series Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip about her condition, but they are now using her pregnancy as a chance to poke fun at her. She explains, "They've taken to calling me Fatty. I think it's really funny. (The show's creator) Aaron Sorkin is convinced I have a five-year-old in here or twins. All they do is call me fatty. Whenever I'm not on set, they're like, 'Check craft services (the catering table) - she's probably over stuffing herself again.'" Peet, who is four months along, says she has tried to remain calm about her wedding preparations, but has begun to have a series of bad dreams about her special day. She adds, "I think I've been pretty mellow, but recently I've been having recurring nightmares about not the ceremony, but the party. There are sort of adolescent fears about just being lame, having a lame party. The dreams are that I go to the bathroom and I come back to the party and everyone's gone. Everyone's dispersed. There are a few distant uncles of David's left. And another one where the band just didn't show up and everyone was getting bored and I was begging musicians that I know, 'Play, play something!' (The reception is) not so big, just 140 people, enough to make me have recurring nightmares." »
