Here Are Some Clips From The YouTube Episode Of ‘The Late Late Show’

24 August 2015 8:34 AM, PDT | Tubefilter.com | See recent Tubefilter News news »

On August 21st, CBS aired an episode of The Late Late Show dedicated entirely to YouTube. Host James Corden came to YouTube Space La and sat down with some of the video site’s most popular stars. For those who missed the episode’s TV broadcast, a handful of clips from the program are now available on The Late Late Show’s official YouTube channel.

The episode’s two primary guests were Jenna Mourey (aka Jenna Marbles) and Tyler Oakley, who chatted with Corden about their respective journeys to online fame and their personal favorite videos. They also battled each other in a YouTube quiz that required them to rank videos based on view counts, fill in missing words in comments, and recreate a dance video.

Interspersed between these segments were several others led by YouTube stars. Boyce Avenue and Epic Rap Battles of History delivered live performances, The Slow Mo Guys exploded a watermelon, »

Fall TV’s Most Interesting Ads Will Be Served by ‘Empire,’ Stephen Colbert, Neil Patrick Harris

24 August 2015 6:30 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Are these the kinds of TV commercials that viewers won’t ignore?

As the new fall season looms, TV networks are offering a bevy of avant-garde advertising ideas designed to push back against the consumer’s natural tendency to spend a commercial break with his or her head buried in a smartphone or speed past pitches with the help of the fast-forward button. Viewers may see everything from CBS latenight show host Stephen Colbert talking about a product in his own inimitable manner to ads from Telemundo that travel from TV screen to tablet.

Whether the ideas are successful, of course, remains to be seen. But TV networks can no longer run the same coterie of 15- and 30-second pitches and hope for the best. The number of people watching traditional “linear” TV is forecast to peak in 2015, according to ZenithOptimedia, a large ad-buying operation owned by France’s Publicis Groupe, »

What It Was Like For James Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’ To Film At YouTube Space La

21 August 2015 10:12 AM, PDT | Tubefilter.com | See recent Tubefilter News news »

On August 21, 2015, CBS will air a YouTube-themed episode of The Late Late Show with host James Corden in celebration of the online video site’s tenth anniversary. Shot entirely at YouTube Space La in Playa Vista, California, CBS and the Late Late Show crew made sure to pull in a bunch of famous YouTube stars for interviews and games, including Tyler Oakley, Jenna Marbles, Kandee Johnson, Epic Rap Battles of History, and the Slow Mo Guys.

The move to film a Late Late Show episode at YouTube Space La is, to say the least, unusual for a major television network. But Corden told Variety the temporary move simply made sense, as it was a grateful nod to the more than 196 million collective video views and over 890,000 subscribers the show has garnered on its YouTube channel to date.

Behind the Scenes of ‘The Late Late Show’s’ YouTube Episode

20 August 2015 12:28 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Since its debut in March, James Corden’s “The Late Late Show” has scored an impressive audience in the digital realm, racking up 200 million views and nearly a million subscribers.

So the host says it was only natural that they would celebrate YouTube’s 10th anniversary with a themed episode featuring the stars of the digital provider — moving out of “Late Late Show’s” usual studio to stage the show in Playa Vista’s YouTube Space L.A.

“We were so overwhelmed by the manner in which people were consuming the show on YouTube,” says Corden. “We thought, ‘Has anyone ever done a show from YouTube, celebrating all the stars they’ve created?’ When we realized no one had, we thought, ‘Right. Let’s do it!'”

James Corden Makes Owen Wilson and Johnny Knoxville Nuzzle a Farm Animal (Video)

20 August 2015 8:05 AM, PDT | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

James Corden had his guests do some hardcore nuzzling on Wednesday’s episode of “The Late Late Show.” Comedian Natasha Leggero and “Jackass” star Johnny Knoxville were definitely given the most unique thing to nuzzle, in the form of a bagpiper complete with the traditional kilt. However, Corden and guest Owen Wilson also got in on the fun, nuzzling up to a large pink bunch of cotton candy, or “candy floss” as Corden called it. Best of Late Night TV: Mumford and Sons' '90s Boy Band and Heidi Klum's Box of Lies

19 August 2015 11:56 PM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

Box of Lies is one of the better "Tonight Show" games, and this week Heidi Klum got in on the action. Hidden box items included a bathtub full of tiny liquor bottles and a pair of wax kissy lips on some casual astro turf. Seriously, who comes up with this stuff?

Over on "Late Night," Keegan-Michael Key and Seth Meyer gave the audience lessons on flirting -- despite the fact that they're both married and totally out of practice. Our favorite pick up line: "If you were a vegetable, you'd be a cute-cumber."

Virtually Impossible, Out of Tune: 6 of our favourite kids' TV shows that no-one remembers

When we found out last week that Gordon the Gopher and other childhood favourites were being revived for a special, we got so excited we dug out our Edd The Duck lunchbox and started reminiscing about our first loves: Andi Peters, Zoe Ball and Phillip Schofield.

But when we started to talk about some of our favourite kids' TV programmes, there were blank faces in the office. And in fact, when we've brought up these classics in the past, we've been met by general bafflement. So below, we present just 6 of our favourite kids' TV shows that no-one remembers... Do you?

Seth Meyers Tweaks ‘Late Night’ Opening to Look Like ‘Weekend Update’

11 August 2015 10:40 AM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

A funny thing happened early this morning as Seth Meyers took the stage during the opening moments of NBC’s “Late Night”: He took a detour to his desk.

The host, who typically delivers a standup monologue, then proceeded to deliver a spate of jokes about Donald Trump, Kim Kardashian and Hillary Clinton in a manner that evoked comparisons to his tenure on the“Weekend Update” segment of “Saturday Night Live,” where he held forth from 2006 to 2014. On “Late Night,” Meyers was seated, and pictures appeared behind his right shoulder that showed the famous people mentioned in his jokes. The graphics added “oomph” to each effort.

That detour is likely to become a permanent new step on the program, Meyers said in an interview Tuesday. “The plan was to sort of use these next two weeks to experiment. We want to mess around with it. It felt really good last night, »

Wait - Are You Aware That Google Has a "Bacon Number" Feature?!

11 August 2015 8:55 AM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

Kevin Bacon appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden to play a friendly round of "Know Your Costar" and promote his film Cop Car, but he let slip a little trivia about how he gets to know his costars. Before he shoots a movie with anyone, he googles their name, plus "Bacon Number," and it tells him how many degrees of separation they are from him. What? Of course, Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon has long been a running joke in Hollywood, but since when does Google have a function like this? And do the Google engineers know that Bacon actually uses it? This is amazing. Watch the video, then go google any celebrity's name, plus "Bacon Number." Go, do it. Between this and Bacon's call for more wieners in movies, he's basically the best. »

Did James Corden just shamelessly rip off Never Mind the Buzzcocks?

11 August 2015 6:59 AM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - TV news news »

James Corden has become a chat show king in the Us - but anyone in the UK who watches his latest skit might experience a little déjà vu.

Corden appeared to rip off the 'Identity Parade' round of BBC Two music quiz Never Mind the Buzzcocks on last night's Late Late Show.

Sure, it was redressed as a 'Know Your Co-Star' quiz with guest Kevin Bacon, but there was no mistaking this for anything but a redressed Identity Parade.

Both involve the player being shown a vintage clip of a former star - then attempting to pick them out of a line-up.

Corden even hands out nicknames to the men stood in the line-up, mimicking the style of the Buzzcocks round - an example of which we present below:
