This is an extremely gorgeous movie. It's shot in 35 mm and uses that format wisely. The cinematography is uniformly brilliant and the relationship depicted herein is as complex as anything you're likely to see in any movie. That said, the movie, even at 10 minutes, is a bit on the slow side. But, really, since it's only 10 minutes you can sort of ignore the plodding nature of the film.
Um... did I mention it's from Canada? I didn't... crazy. How could I forget? Yup, it's a Canadian film, but really it's not like most Canadian films. If you like David Cronenberg, rent David Cronenberg. None of that here. Also, did you know there were monks in Canada. Astounding.
