Trivia:
The family name "Sackville-Bagg" in this film is a reference to J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit", as Bilbo and Frodo Baggins are related to the "Sackville Bagginses". moreGoofs:
Continuity: When Tony has a bloody nose his mom has put tissues in it to stop the bleeding. She pulls out one side and says still bleeding so she gets more tissue, while she is rolling it up there is no tissue in that one side of his nose. Then after she is done rolling it up the tissue is back in his nose without her putting it there, then she pulls it out again and replaces it with fresh tissue. moreSoundtrack:

I never thought you could actually make a kiddie movie about vampires, but this film somehow pulls it off. Yes, the movie still shows vampires getting the stake through their hearts and the film doesn't shy away from all those gruesome things that make vampire movies so enticing. However, everything is done with the utmost delicacy and good humor, so the ugly aspects of the story are not very obvious. I also found the movie hilarious (wait until you see the vampire-cows!) and perfect for family viewing. Jonathan Lipnicki is a very cute kid, but the movie belongs to Rollo Weeks, who gives an excellent performance as the "little vampire" who befriends Lipnicki. An imaginative film that kids (and adults) will love.
