The first time I tackled this film, I was three-quarters of my way through a bottle of wine; I presumed that the fact that it seemed to make no sense was due to my slightly inebriated state. Anyway, I fell asleep before the end, so the next night I tried again, only this time I was sober. And it still made no sense.
A live-action version of a classic hentai anime (and if you know what that is, then you know what to expect), La Blue Girl Live sees some extremely hot Japanese girls do some martial arts in skimpy outfits, reveal their panty gussets (a pre-requisite of the genre), get veiny appendages shoved in every orifice (some interesting POV shots used here), and indulge in lots of slimy softcore sex.
And, whilst it is true that La Blue Girl Live is very confusing, and sometimes rather tedious (a little too much tentacle action for my liking), it is still a reasonably entertaining mess; let's face it.... with a constant stream of oriental eye-candy getting nekkid for the viewer's pleasure, who really gives a damn if the story is incomprehensible nonsense?
