Okay show, but not as good as its precursor
3 February 2001 | by (Massachusetts) – See all my reviews

When I first saw this show on TV, I thought it was fine. However, I did(and still do) miss "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?". One of the problems I had with this show was the music. The Engine Crew replaced Rockapella as the house band. The fact that former Rockapellian Sean Altman wrote the theme song just doesn't cut it. Also, Kevin Shinnick replaced Greg Lee as the host which upset me even more. Greg had been a wonderful host and don't see why he had to be replaced. Acme Crimenet was changed to Acme Timenet, the Map was changed to the Trail of Time, the Gumshoes were given the new name of Time Pilots. All these changes were just too much for me. I wish I had known in advance that "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" was ending. As Sean Altman said on his website, "Get your fill while the trough is full, reruns will air through September". Unfortunately, I found this piece of news recently in archives and therefore was not able to do so. I hope the Carmen movie comes out soon!
