OK porn premise; bad execution
19 July 2010 | by (New York, New York) – See all my reviews

Porn is a great field for Hollywood's infatuation with high concept. This junker is simply about a pimp whose girls hitch-hike, bring the john back home, ball him, and steal the money. That's all she wrote.

I enjoyed watching George Peters as Harvey, the mastermind pimp. Wearing very strange oversize spectacles and playing it with that "I'm tired of this world" nonchalance, he's a dead ringer for the late, great German character actor Peter Chatel, once a mainstay in the Fassbinder troupe. Suspense is "will Harvey get some?" and finally he does, just before the "ironic" conclusion.

I use that adjective very lightly, because the plot hinges on a most ludicrous conceit: the gals succeed in luring the driver of a very recognizable station wagon back for a SECOND fleecing -they recognize him immediately and he acknowledges them. Of course he's an undercover cop busting the whole clan, but how flimsy can you get? This was watchable because porn stars I like showed up for work, Rene Bond, Eve Orlon and Starlyn Simone.
