The movie stars you see on the screen have once been selected amongst others. The glamor of the premiere is preceded by mug shots, selections, interviews, wining, dining, backstabbing and sex. In the end, everyone gets what they deserve.

The book "Op Kousevoeten" is being turned into a movie. The director has to select a lead character that can play the role of a disturbed Jewish girl. Three actresses are selected to be auditioned. They all would like to get the part, but what do they have to do to get it? Is it worth it? Written by

A bit of a weird movie, with funny comments and many cameo's (Matthijs van Heijningen, Eddy Terstall himself, Mike van Diem, Diewertje Blok and many others). Definitly not his best movie, although the cast is virtually similair to all his other flicks. I loved 'Rent-A-Friend" and "Hufters en Hofdames", definitly some of the funniest dutch movies ever made, but I enjoyed "Boekverfilming" at most points. Some absurb scenes and dialogs keep it fresh, because the story is a bit thin. But still, nice comedy.
