blimey, this goes back a bit. this inanely silly talent show use to go out on a saturday night and would today be on a similar par with 'pop idol' only without (thankfully) the verbal diorhea contributions from cowell and waterman. the programme which sadly launched the careers of lenny henry and marti caine who made their debuts as contestants; another sorry feature was 'crossroads'/'neighbours' composer tony hatch who regularly appeared as a panellist. one puzzling question i always pondered was how he could manage to pass criticism and judgement on other folks' music with a straight face when how considerably naff his own was!
