Extraordinary Italian Mini-serie
14 December 2002 | by (fayetteville, North Carolina) – See all my reviews

This is a good example than not all the good movies and miniseries are from hollywood, in fact I find sometimes the foreign cinema more rich and interesting. This is a war full of action war mini-series that can compete without any doubt with Saving private Ryan or Band of Brothers (notice that I don't mention We were soldiers, which I consider a real shame since this is a big budget one). This is a movie about the life of a little and smart boy (Mino)and the vision of the horror of the war through his eyes. (We are talking about prior world war one. This is a war between Italy and Austria) The movie is so solid and the acting is so remarkable, that is too bad this kind of miniseries are not available to the public that really enjoy these pieces of art. Is too easy to bring Band of brother to DVD,(which is pretty good also)But just because "Mino" is an italian miniserie is not possible to enjoy it in a movie either VHS or DVD...
