Violence & Gore

Violence in Band of Brothers is at the same level like in Saving Private Ryan or even more so. Many people are shot, killed, blown up, etc. It is very brutal, bloody and disturbing. Very realistic.

many people have limbs blown off, with the camera lingering

people are shot constantly with blood spraying

in one episode a man is crushed by a tank, but no blood or gore is seen

multiple times people are shot in the neck, resulting in them choking to death while bleeding horribly, and they are shown coughing up blood. there is also the exposure of the wind pipe in some of these deaths, with the camera lingering

many people are blown to peices completely, or are shown punctured full of shrapnel

in one episode a man's finger is shot off

in one episode a field medic and a nurse are trying to save a man that has a six inch hole blown threw his stomach. this is shown graphically and goes on for about a minute. the man is coughing up blood with blood is everywhere. His death is tragic.

In the ninth episode, the soldiers find a concentration camp. This sequence shows many emaciated prisoners both youth and old, some of them already dead, buried, or tortured. It is extremely disturbing.

62 F-words. Many other swear words used frequently.

Heavy drinking and smoking thoroughout. No drug use.

The violence can disturb some viewers. Many people who's family have died in the Holocaust and World war 2 may find some scenes frightening and depressing.

A very depressing, intense, tragic, emotional, brutal series
