Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

In the first episode ("Currahee"), while doing bunk checks, the commanding officer finds what appears to be pornographic magazines, throws them, and yells, ''Contraband!"

In the eighth episode ("The Last Patrol"), we see very brief male rear nudity and side nudity (a bit of one actor's penis is visible) when soldiers are shown showering in a temporary facility.

In the ninth episode ("Why We Fight"), a tense three-minute scene starting at precisely 00:05:59 minutes shows a soldier making manic advances toward a local girl who found him stealing eggs in her barn. It is implied that he intends to seduce or even rape her, but he departs after being slapped. The two men walk down the road and one says "Germany's looking like it's gonna be pretty good fraternizing territory, huh?"

Immediately and abruptly after that scene, at precisely 00:08:17 minutes, a different soldier is shown having noisy sex in the home of a local girl. Her bare breasts are shown from the side, then we see his buttocks when they flip positions. There is squeaking, thrusting, moaning, etc.; it lasts 14 seconds, then they're interrupted when the soldier's commanding officer enters the room, after which we see half of the bare soldier's buttocks for the remainder of the scene (another twenty seconds). (Episode 9, "Why We Fight")

There is occasional mild sexual banter throughout the series.

Violence & Gore

Many people have limbs blown off (camera cuts).

People are shot constantly with varying levels of blood spraying.

A man is crushed by a tank, but no blood or gore is seen.

A soldier gets shot in the neck, resulting in them choking to death while bleeding horribly, and they are shown coughing up blood.

A man's finger is shot off.

A field medic and a nurse are trying to save a man that has a six inch hole blown threw his stomach. This is shown graphically and goes on for about a minute. The man is coughing up blood with blood is everywhere. His death is tragic.

The soldiers find a concentration camp. This sequence shows many emaciated prisoners both youth and old, some of them already dead, buried, or tortured. It is rather disturbing.

Profanity

The use of words "fuck" (60+ times) and "shit" (100+ times). Also used "ass", "damn" and other mild profanities.

Drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes.

Many people who's family have died in the Holocaust and World war 2 may find some scenes frightening and depressing.
