In an alternative dimension called the Aniverse where the denizens are humanoid animals, the free worlds are threatened by the toads who are under the control of the insane computer, Komplex. The sole defence is the forces of S.P.A.C.E., which unfortunately, consists of a single ship called The Righteous Indignation under the command of Captain Bucky O'Hare. During one engagement, the ship's Photon Accelerator seriously malfunctioned, resulting in the disappearance of the engineer and the opening of a dimensional portal to the room of a human boy called Willy Dewitt, who is an engineering genius as well. Now, that boy has a part time job as part of Bucky O'Hare's crew as the war against the toads continues. Written by

Did that catch your attention ^^^ Good!!! Boasting some of the best and by far more mature cartoon scripts, this cartoon really was the best thing to air on a Saturday morning, the animation was a lot more detailed in comparison to some of the shows that aired along side it.
it even managed to stay faithful to it's comic counterpart (albeit some changes, to lighten the more dark and serious tone of the comic books) in retrospect minus the fact that this show "Bucky O Hare and the Toad Wars" ended after one season, it still reaches some conclusion (in the hopes of a second season or revival) so you won't be left disappointed.
if you want your bucky fix there is an on-going internet series (if you're into that sort of thing!!) and a small 3D cartoon on Continuity studios website.
