The pace is slow, and the target audience seems to be children, although it has an oddly adult flavour at times. The story contains no real surprises. Certainly, as a member of the audience, you'll wonder how the other characters take so long to work out that the lovely and mysterious woman is a crane in disguise (this fact is never less than totally clear from the start). I'm not sure how the story could have been made any differently, but I feel it could have been done better. Overall, not too bad.
