Uschi fans need to see this immediately

To be honest, this is a pretty mediocre sexploitation film. I saw the hour long version entitled "Pastries", which takes about forty-five minutes of the original "A Touch of Sweden" and adds fifteen minutes of horribly inserted hardcore footage. The seams show throughout this hack editing job. I'm not sure how coherent "A Touch of Sweden" is, but it's edited version is all over the place. There's random appearances by Dracula, a scene in a hospital, the characters seem to have no connection to one another, and there's some muddled attempts at satire. However, its enjoyable enough in the sense the comedy isn't funny but functions as 70s camp.

This brings me to the one reason I had to watch this - Uschi Digard. Generally, the voluptuous Swedish beauty only had brief nude scenes in various b-films. Here, shes the star, with her syrupy accent undubbed and in all its glory. Shes electrifying and unbelievably well proportioned. As far as I'm concerned, shes much more attractive than any of today's manufactured silicone hardcore stars. Since this is pretty much all her show, its worth watching for folks who enjoyed her brief appearances in "Supervixens" or "The Toy Box". In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing the original version, if it means more Uschi. (6/10)
