Maybe a lot of hard work went into this effort. But there's no disguising a lean budget. It's gonna be pointed out, as is the impression here. It just doesn't stand up to the big-bucks productions of the major companies. This is the story of a high schooler who's dad killed himself in prison, where he was because he embezzled from his boss of many years. The kid is then helped by his best buddy and their girlfriends to kidnap the boss's son, who dies in their captivity. The rest of the film is about the four trying to "keep it together". Perhaps it's strange that certain accents are more noticeable to me than others - especially with regard to "cheapening" a film. That, too, tarnishes my evaluation of this work: almost all of the actors have that southern-Jersey / Philadelphia-area / Murruhland delivery. If it's any consolation, however, I hold other movies in lower regard.
