Pretext for some songs!

Great great singer, very beautiful woman (Miss Egypt in 1954) and very good Actress: Dalida! There is another beautiful woman in the film, Tania Béryl. There is also a very young Serge Gainsbourg, with his unique personality. The film is not great, a trivial story with a precious stone changing its owner several times. The two beautiful Dalida and Tania Béryl make it bearable.

The plot of this thriller ,concerning diamonds trafficking ,is thoroughly devoid of interest .

This flick is a vehicle for singer Dalida, and a pretext to highlight her songs, although none of the titles she performs in "L'Inconnue De Hong Kong" was one of the artist's hits.A reason why you would watch this dud is the presence of Serge Gainsbourg ,who performs a duet with the star :he is the artistic director of the night club and he asks the new chanteuse and her mate to rehearse :after a few seconds ,he laconically says :"that will do" ;then the artists worry : "it's enough?";terse answer by the probably bored Serge :"it ain't Stravinsky!"
