Sex & Nudity

  • As Raw is a live "sporting" event, wardrobe malfunctions can, and have happened (mostly female). They are edited out after the live airing though.
  • Almost all male wrestlers wear revealing clothing. Most men are topless, wearing clothes that cover as much as underwear. "Divas" as they're referred as wear attire revealing cleavage, stomachs, legs, etc.
  • Most sexual themes happened during the "Attitude Era" between 98 and 2001. There was a character who was an implied porn star with his signature move being a sexual innuendo, a pimp character who would come out with the "ho-train" a group of women wearing tight dresses.
  • Ever since the WWE has went to a PG rating in the US from a TV-14 rating, there has been little sexual themes. With most being "Diva Bikini Battle Royals" where women wrestled in bikinis, there has been 2 at most.

Violence & Gore

  • Wrestling moves and the like. Some blood is shown. Not as much as when they were in the 'Attitude Era'.

Profanity

  • Some mild language. Toned down since its 'Attitude Era'' days since WWE has become a 'family' company. Currently, hell and damn are used on a regular basis. Words like "ass", "bastard", 'suck it", "sex", "bitch", "son of a bitch", "hooker" and "nuts" are occasionally said, but sometimes uses of "bitch" are censored. Worse words like "douche-bag", "shit", "bull-shit", and "goddamn" are used but are censored. In Attitude Era days, there was constant uses of "hell", "damn", "ass", "bitch", "bastard", and "suck it".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • During the "Attitude Era" from 1998 to 2001, there were many episodes where characters drink beer, even one where the ring was soaked by a beer hose.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Scarier characters like Undertaker and Kane may frighten younger viewers during the 90s.
  • More recently, characters like Brock Lesnar, Bray Wyatt and his "Wyatt Family" may trigger the same response.
