Watch Macaulay Culkin Go Full Home Alone in Crazy Wrestling Match
The 1990 blockbuster Home Alone has become a classic Christmas movie over the years, while Home Alone 2 is just classically bad. Because Christmas is around the corner, Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin is making his annual return to our (computer) screens. But this year, the 37-year-old is in the news for a slightly different reason: helping Santa Claus win a wrestling match using some of his tactics from the beloved holiday movie. The video reveals a big crowd clearly excited to see the real-life Kevin McCallister get into some mischief again.

Bar Wrestling held their Christmas Special earlier this week and Macaulay Culkin showed up wearing a Rowdy Roddy Piper shirt and bunny ears. During the fight, Culkin emptied a bucket full of balls into the ring which caused the wrestlers to trip in a moment that was captured on video by Pro Wrestling Sheet. The actor used this tactic

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Two Impact Stars Headed to WWE?

When you take a look back at superstars that never got the chance to achieve their full potential in the WWE, two names often come in the discussion – Ethan Cartner III and Lashley. The two men, both former WWE employees, have gone on to become two of the biggest stars in Impact Wrestling and many fans have long hoped that they would get another chance to prove themselves in the WWE.

Well, it looks as though we may not have to wait for this much longer. Dave Meltzer, in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, indicated that the duo could well be heading back to their former home when their contracts expire with Impact Wrestling. While it is not clear exactly when that is, it looks as though it may be in the coming months.

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Changes Made to Clash of Champions Card

On last night’s Clash of Champions go home edition of Smackdown [read our review here], Daniel Bryan added himself as the second referee for the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn Vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton bout. Also added to the Clash of Champions card were a match between The Bludgeon Brothers and The Fashion Files, and a pre-show match between Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley.

The addition of Bryan to the tag-team match will having many fans speculating as to whether or not Bryan is going to turn heel this weekend, but expect there to just be plenty of confusion over the finish with Bryan counting the victory for the heel team. It remains unclear as to whether or not Bryan will be able to return to the ring in 2018, so expect this storyline to

WWE Raw Review 11/12/17 – Kane Takes on Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns Defends his Intercontinental Title, More Woken Matt Hardy

Liam Hoofe reviews this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw

This week’s Raw opened with Samoa Joe standing in the ring addressing Roman Reigns. Joe is scheduled to face Ambrose later in the night but says it is Roman he wants. He runs down all three members of The Shield, bragging about putting Rollins out of action, and choking Reigns out last week, he says that Ambrose has just been hiding from him this whole time.

We see Rollins and Ambrose watching the TV backstage, Rollins tells Dean that they need to get ‘The Big Dog’ in one of the cringiest lines of the night. Reigns shows up and says he’s got this. Reigns heads to the ring and him and Joe begin brawling. The Bar attack Reigns as well and Joe locks in the clutch. The Shield runs out for the save but they get beaten

Wrestling Daily News Roundup – 205 Live Star Arrested and Suspended by the WWE, Triple H Defeats Jinder Mahal in India, Neville Update

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Rich Swann Arrested for Kidnapping and Battery

WWE 205 Live superstar Rich Swann was arrested in Gainesville, Florida this Sunday morning and charged with kidnapping/false imprisonment and battery.

Later yesterday afternoon, Gainesville police released their report, claiming that the victim of the incident was Rich Swann’s wife, and fellow wrestler, Su Yung. The pair have been together for 6 years and have been married for 9 months.

WWE has responded to the incident by suspending Rich Swann from the company. Swann was scheduled to face Drew Gulak this Monday night on WWE Raw to determine the new number 1 contender for the Cruiserweight Title. It seems unlikely the company will just hand Gulak the victory, so expect to see a replacement opponent brought in for the bout.

Wrestling Daily News Roundup – Ronda Rousey Close to Signing, Woken Matt Hardy Update, Rob Van Dam Done with the WWE

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Ronda Rousey Close to Signing with the WWE

Ronda Rousey’s arrival in the WWE has been the talk of the Iwc for the best part of the last six months, and the latest reports indicate that the former Ufc champion is very close to putting pen to paper with the company.

Sources close to Rousey have told a USA Today reporter that the deal is very close to happening. While the WWE has not commented on the situation, it is believed that Rousey will be arriving in the WWE very soon.

There has been much speculation as to who Rousey will be facing when she does arrive in the WWE, and the smart money is on either a one-on-one showdown with Charlotte Flair at Wrestlemania or a tag match between the Four Horsewomen of Ufc and the Four Horsewomen of WWE.

Wrestling Daily News Roundup -Woken Matt Hardy has arrived!, Big Match Set for Next Week’s Raw, 205 Live Heading on the Road

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Matt Hardy is #Woken!

After months of waiting, and a week full of speculation, Matt Hardy finally unveiled his ‘Woken’ Gimmick on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. Despite concerns from fans, it does appear as though the WWE is going all out with the gimmick, simply changing the name from Broken to Woken and presumably leaving everything else as it is.

Hardy debuted the character during a highly amusing segment with Bray Wyatt, spouting some nonsense about Plato, Cleopatra, and his journey through time and space. The live crowd on Raw ate it up, as did fans on social media. A feud with Bray seems like a logical first step for the character in the WWE, and who knows, maybe it can even manage to make Bray interesting again.

WWE Raw Review 4/12/17 – Matt Hardy is Awoken, Tag Team Title Match, Shield Split Teased?

Liam Hoofe reviews this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw

No Stephanie or Triple H to start this week’s Raw, instead Raw general manager Kurt Angle is out to a nice pop to start the show. Angle is out to announce some of the night’s matches, and just as he is about to reveal Roman Reigns’ opponent for the night, Jason Jordan makes his way out to the ring. Jordan is doing his usual ‘just give me a chance, dad’ shtick, and Roman then makes his way to the ring to a mixed reception. Roman tells Jordan that if he wants his chance, he needs to step up and take it, and stop whining to his dad. Samoa Joe’s music hits to a big pop. It’s kind of amusing that Joe, the biggest heel in this segment, got the biggest pop after Angle.

Joe says

Wrestling Daily News Roundup – Three Matches Announced for Clash of Champions, Paige Set for In-Ring Return, Nxt To Find a New Home

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Three Matches Announced for WWE Clash of Champions

This weekend, via the official WWE YouTube channel, the company revealed the following three matches will be taking place at WWE Clash of Champions on December 17th:

The New Day Vs The Usos Vs Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin

Charlotte Flair Vs Natalya

Baron Corbin Vs Dolph Ziggler Vs Bobby Roode

Also taking place on the card is a match for the WWE title between Jinder Mahal and Aj Styles. It would appear that the company has made several changes from what were the initial plans for the event. The addition of Dolph Ziggler is a random choice, though it could have been done to protect Roode, with Ziggler likely taking the pinfall loss and holding the Roode/Corbin feud for a little longer.

The New Day will no doubt add even

Wrestling Daily News Roundup – Tag Team Finished With The WWE?, Nxt Title Change, Impact Finally Giving in On Broken Matt, Superstar Name Change

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Tag Team Finished With the WWE?

PWInsider is reporting today that The Singh Brothers are likely done with the WWE following this Tuesday’s episode of Smackdown. The Singhs were attacked by Jinder following their defeat to Aj Styles this past Tuesday, and it looks as though that will be the last time we will see them on WWE TV.

While they were never going to set the world on fire, I still enjoyed watching The Singhs. The team sold moves like crazy and would have been an enjoyable addition to the Smackdown tag-team roster, even if they were just working as jobbers. This does also indicate that Jinder’s push is likely over and done with too, as booking relied on the pair to help him get a victory.

Farewell The Singh Brothers, we barely knew ye.

Nxt Title Change (Spoilers)

Maryse Struggles With the Fate of Chateau Marmiz While Lana Worries About Her Career on Total Divas

Maryse Struggles With the Fate of Chateau Marmiz While Lana Worries About Her Career on Total Divas
Things are getting serious at Chateau Marmiz. On this week's episode of Total Divas, Maryse and The Miz struggled with the fate of Chateau Marmiz after their home was broken into for the third time in five years.  During Monday Night Raw, Maryse and The Miz were alerted to some suspicious activity at their home. The WWE couple had no choice but to jump on the next flight home and check it out.  For Maryse, its three strikes, we're out! "I don't think honestly, that three guys are just gonna try and come in a house and be like 'oh yeah we're just gonna go and not be armed and wait to see what happens.' We might have to consider the option of moving out, maybe to...

Wrestling Daily News Roundup – New Us Title Belt!?, Smackdown Tag Team Splits, Asuka Sets Some Records

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

New Us Title Design

Over the last few years, the WWE has set about redesigning all of their titles, often to a very negative reaction from the WWE universe. Well, it looks as though the next belt to receive a makeover will be the Us title, with the Florence Civic Centre, which is hosting a WWE show on the 20th January sharing this image on their Facebook page.

While the new belt design, if that is what it is, is actually quite nice, I’m a big fan of the current Us belt and I don’t feel as though it needed changing. New belts often come with new champions, though, so could Baron Corbin be dropping the belt to Roode at Clash of Champions? This could be nothing, but it seems unlikely that a venue would just change a title for their promotional images.

How WWE’s TV Ratings Are Doing This Year

  • The Wrap
WWE used to declare that “‘Raw’ Is War” — but how is the pro-wrestling promotion’s flagship show doing in the TV ratings battleground these days? Year-to-date, USA Network’s “Monday Night Raw” is averaging 3.486 million total viewers, with 1.604 million of them coming from the key 18-49 demographic. Unfortunately, those tallies are both down 5 percent from 2016’s audience. To be fair, however, the average primetime year-to-date decline across all of cable is 9 percent. Fortunately, “Raw” is faring better lately. From the fourth quarter to-date, the three-hour show is actually up 1 percent in both metrics. (All numbers in this...

WWE Raw Review 27/11/17 – Roman Reigns Walks With Elias, Paige’s Motives Revealed, Matt Hardy Beginning to Break?

Liam Hoofe reviews last night’s WWE Raw

This week’s Raw opened with Roman Reigns in the ring talking about his Intercontinental Title victory, and his new open challenge. Reigns got a surprisingly positive action during this whole segment, which could be an indication of the tide finally beginning to change for The Big Dog – either that or this was just a particularly positive crowd. Reigns was interrupted by The Miztourage, who were then joined by Elias. Elias revealed he would be challenging Reigns later in the night, and Reigns took a few shots at the trio on the mic. Overall, this was a fairly enjoyable opening segment – it’s nice to see Reigns not getting booed for once, and it’s good that Elias is being given a nice little boost up the card in The Miz’s absence. It also made a change to not see Stephanie McMahon

‘The Punisher – Season One’ Review (Netflix)

After The Punisher was introduced into the secons season of Daredevil, the anticipation that he would get his own show was high. Now that it is here though, does it live up to our hopes? The answer for the most part is yes, but read on to find out why Marvel fall into a familiar trap with their new Netflix show…

When Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) tries to leave The Punisher behind him, it doesn’t take long before he has to take action against wrongdoers. When this catches the attention of Micro (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) Castle finds himself once again hunting down the people behind his family’s death, as it seems his vengeance was ended a little prematurely.

While I may say some negative things about the show in this review, it is important to point out that Jon Bernthal is perfect as Frank Castle. He can convey the emotions needed for Frank Castle,

Wrestling Daily News Roundup: Triple H’s Wrestlemania Opponent, Huge Return on Raw, Royal Rumble Main Event Plans, Landmark for Roman Reigns

Liam Hoofe with a round-up of the latest wrestling news…

Triple H’s Wrestlemania Opponent

The ending of Survivor Series was an absolute mess, I think most wrestling fans would agree on that. While it could be argued that the match was booked as to get Braun Strowman over, most of us can agree that once again, Triple H stole the limelight.

Wrestlemania feuds are often started at Survivor Series, though, and with Triple H screwing pretty much everybody in this bout, and then having a confrontation with Braun Strowman- fans were left a little bit confused as to who his Mania opponent would be. Rumoured opponents for Hunter have been Shane or Kurt Angle in recent months, and with him attacking both of these men at Survivor Series, things still remain unclear.

The rumours circulating today are that Triple H will face both Braun Strowman and Kurt Angle (sorry,

WWE Raw Review 20/11/17 – New Intercontinental Champion, A Surprise Return, Two Shocking Debuts

Liam Hoofe Reviews last night’s WWE Raw

Welcome to Monday Night Raw, or has it appears to be becoming once again, The Stephanie McMahon Show. This week’s episode began, like many before it, with Stephanie McMahon coming out to the ring to address the fall out of Survivor Series. She officially branded Raw as the A-Show before confirming that Kurt Angle is 1000% (not possible, Steph) staying on in his role as Raw Gm. She was then joined by her husband Triple H, who was quickly followed by Kurt Angle.

Angle instantly got in Hunter’s face before Jason Jordan’s music hit to zero response and the former American Alpha member hit the ring to challenge Triple H to a match. Triple H took off his blazer and claimed that he was scared of no-one before Braun’s music hit and out comes the monster among men. Braun

It’s a new day, yes it is.
