Storyline

This wrestling show quickly grew into one of the most popular sports/entertainment shows ever. In addition to presenting matches between the stars of the WWF, this program spent most of its time on the elaborate backstage story that had developed, involving feuds, deals, backstabbings and romances between the wrestlers, managers, referees and commissioners. Trivia

Early in the "Monday Night Wars" WWF (Now WWE) started to run parodies and skits of WCW and their Ted Turner. WCW threatened legal action and WWF stopped running the skits. Their final skit was a "Geriatric Match" with The Huckster vs. The Nacho Man. In that skit the Turner look-alike said that he can just buy more talent. Ironically in 2001 Vince McMahon bought WCW and their talent. See more »

Goofs

In the "Pillman's got a gun" segment with Brian Pillman and Steve Austin in 1996, announcer Kevin Kelly mentions several times that Pillman is at his home in Cincinnati. But the on-screen graphic says the action is live in Walton, Kentucky. See more »

Quotes

Jerry 'The King' Lawler: She shouldn't even be here right now, she should be in the back with Mr. McMahon, having fun.
JR: How do you know that was fun?
Jerry 'The King' Lawler: What do you mean how would that be fun? You don't think that would be fun?
JR: Well, he's not exactly my type, if you know what I mean...

Raw is War has become the most successful wrestling program ever!, and it is mainly thanks to weekly appearances from Steve Williams who is Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mark Calloway who plays the lord of darkness the Undertaker, Degeneration-X which consists of only X-Pac and Road Dogg Jessy James, and the latest Dead man, and my personal favorite "Kane".

WWF had turned from a sporting attraction into a Drama/Sport, and I like it, it gets better and better every week, it`s a shame that "Bret Hitman Hart" left but I liked him as a good guy better.

So I give it 9 out of 10.
