Basically there are three different versions around. First of all there is an International Version around that is more than 20 minutes shorter than the original HongKong Theatrical Version, which is cut number 2. For the International Version mostly plot scenes were removed, probably to make the version more interesting for westerners. But there's also a third version, that can be called Alternative Asian Cut, that misses some seconds from the HongKong Theatrical Version but features an exclusive scene with Shu Qi that can't be found anywhere else.
