Storyline

A comedy improvisation show, much like Whose Line is it Anyway, but taped all the way through and aired without editing. There are four contestants, two hosts, a musical director (who plays through pretty well all of the games, musical or not), and an audience. The hosts are The Devil's Advocates and the games are "chosen" by various theme-related methods such as Misfortune cookies, the 8-ball of Coincidence, the Cubador of Fate, the chicken bones, and Satan's Choice. At the end of the show, one of the contestants is chosen to be "punished" and they play the integral part in a final game as the credits are shown. Written by K. Belyea

Improvisational Comedy how it's meant to be.
20 December 2001 | by (Berry Mills, New Brunswick) – See all my reviews

This is a show consisting of people from the Second City, including the two hosts who made their debut mocking people at the Speaker's Corner in Toronto. It's better not to compare it to the show 'Whose line is it anyway?' because this show is clearly in a league of its own: the games are harder and the acting more theatrical than shticky. In fact, the Second City players make the players on Whose Line look like Kindergarten children playing at recess. Also, notice the difference in Colin Mochrie in both of these shows. The highlights are Paul O'Sullivan, Frank McAnulty, Teresa Pavlinek, and Bob Martin, but there are so many great comedians and actors which appear on this show it would take too long to tell about them all. I only wish I could find Paul O'Sullivan and Frank McAnulty in more bigger roles than their appearances on Dirty Work and Frequency.
