Keep on Keeping On
Hanssen is met by Sir Fraser and is told that Holby reaching foundation Trust Status will be put on hold. Aware that the hospitals fate relies on today's performance, can Hanssen prove that he has full support of his staff? Elizabeth returns to Keller from compassionate leave, only to receive some unexpected news. Chrissie is determined to prove herself to Eddi, realising her nurse practitioner module relies on Eddi's sign off. Now engage to Dan, Chrissie's personal life has begun to interfere with her professional life.

Culture Shock
Sahira is tired of Hanssen's new management regime, but when Kris Swann arrives as Sir Fraser's management consultant, Hanssen is less than pleased and rallies support from the team. But Sahira is determined to treat her patients as best she knows how, until she realises how much pressure Hanssen really is under. Sacha blocks out the AAU team and remains secretive about a patients CT scan, a suspicious Chrissie suspects something so goes behind Sacha's back. Chantelle's day doesn't get off to a good start when she accidentally crashes into Ric's car!

Shame
Michael returns to Holby for his disciplinary hearing. Michael and Ric lock horns once more over a patient in desperate need of Michael's expertise. Jac spots an opportunity to capitalise on Michael's mistakes, and tries everything she can to distance herself from the plastics fiasco. When Jac misses out on a career-enhancing procedure, she tries to convince Ollie to join forces on a new research project. Ollie finds out some information about Jac concerning the plastics scandal. Dan pressurises Chrissie about wedding plans and she loses her temper.

Under the Skin
When baby Freya's test results reveal a very rare heart condition, Jac goes against Elliot's instructions and decides to perform a potentially life-threatening procedure. As the operation draws closer Jac begins to question the validity of her decision. The operation is successful, until baby Freya develops a bleed and Jac has to step up and save her life. Devil in the Detail
Michael returns to Holby but Hanssen removes him from private practice at Holby Care and so he has to go on public wards where he foolishly convinces a patient to go private after his planned operation has been cancelled. Dan is conflicted over his feelings for ex-nurse Stephen and gives into his urges outside Holby only to be caught by Greg. Sahira clashes with Gillian, the new theatre liaison manager that Hanssen appointed, but it's not long before Gillian feels she's in the wrong place and resigns.

No Shortcuts
When Malick hears about Michael's resignation, he opts to spend the day on AAU trying to impress him. Malick and Luc argue over the treatment of a trauma patient with glass stuck in his leg. Malick lets his ego trump his judgement. Sahira's had enough of Greg's special treatment and tells him to keep his distance. With Dan on a conference in Miami, Oliver is left in charge of all things orthopaedic.

Sahira confronts Hanssen about the administration and communication chaos that exists in their department, but Hanssen refuses to engage and keeps his distance. Sahira is delighted when Hanssen invites her to a conference in Stockholm, but soon realises she has to pull out when it clashes with her wedding anniversary. When Malick's ex-boyfriend Paul and his family are involved in an accident that brings them to Holby, Malick is surprised by the strength of his feelings for Paul. Malik suggests a risky plan to save him and his brother, but when the reality of that plan hits Malick, he is left wondering if he has gone too far. Jac is still secretly besotted with baby Freya, who has unbelievably broken through her defences. When Nicole, Freya's mother, returns, Jac lies to social services. Eastern Promise
Eddi's younger brother Liam continues to mess us but in doing so begins to take an interest in surgery which is nurtured by Luc. Elsewhere, Elliott's hope of relocating Holby's discarded equipment to the Ukraine hits a snag with an over eager disposals man and Holby bureaucracy. But help writing the proposal from a long-term seriously patient might just swing it with Hanssen. Meanwhile, although the butt of surgery jokes Tara diagnoses that a patient with Parkinsons is self-medicating with Ecstasy which was missed by Frieda and Malick.

Alex takes over from Michael when a British national is air-lifted home from The Gambia after contacting a suspected tropical disease - which doesn't please Michael any little bit. Luc, preoccupied with a patient with an assumed identity and not getting to the bottom of the patient's diagnosis misses an appointment with Liam. Elsewhere, Tara finds a way to deal with death in a most unexpected way. Meanwhile, after Rafi resigns from his post to take up a new job in Nottingham, Greg confesses that he's in love with her and Henrik sidelines Sahira in favour of Jac over her patient's operation Sahira makes a decision to save her marriage and leave with Rafi.

Sahira's last day is eventful to say the least and Hanssen is not for helping in the slightest. Malick gets in over his head when he attempts to repair a child's hand cut through by a chainsaw. Eddi and Luc work together with a temperamental pregnant woman which brings them romantically closer.

Greg becomes involved in a young female teenager's case - who he suspects is also being molested by her father. Annalese tells Michael that she and Ric have split up and she's about to take up a post in the US and wants to take their kids with her. Malick's teaching makes him face up to his responsibilities. Greg's former teenage patient Lucy Haines's father is admitted with stab wounds and he later has a discussion with Lucy which alludes to her having stabbed him. But she refuses to talk to the authorities and in the meantime her father accuses Greg about his intimate relationship with his daughter leading Hanssen to think about sacking him.
