Trivia

The reason for the confusing plot and lack of continuity in this film is as simple as it is appalling: It was made by using footage from another Cetin Inanc / Cüneyt Arkin collaboration, Son Savasci (1982). For Ölüm Savasçisi, the filmmakers used half the footage of Son Savasci, changed the order of the scenes and added a lot of unused footage, fill-in scenes, plus a few scenes stolen from foreign productions, to give it the look of a different movie. However, Son Savasci was more or less a straightforward film with a linear story line, whereas Ölüm Savasçisi suffered from choppy editing and incoherent plot. Most of all, it suffered from not being written and shot as an actual movie, but being pieced together by using leftovers. See more »

The movie that delivers with force
27 December 2013 | by See all my reviews

Ölüm savasçisi (Death Warrior) brings you on an action-packed journey right from the very beginning. There is no rest, just sick punches and kicks accompanied by the best slap sounds I've ever heard. The scenes are insane, cut with precision and finesse making them well polished for the audience - impressive... really. I would like to add that I have no clue what they said through the movie, yet still, I got amazed and I think I might have figured it out somewhat. Or not. Anyway, I don't think it matters if you get the story or not. It's just a powerful mash-up of action, sick FX and martial-art choreography that blows you totally away. This is THE movie - don't miss it for anything in the world! Cred goes to Cüneyt Arkin for his well convincing acting, well done... really.
