Max wonders how to tell Becky, his daughter that he's gay. Sami tells Max that he's tired of always coming second to his family. Max finds comfort in the arms of Carrie,Alex knocks Marc off his bar stool and now has to play football in his place.
Becky has already guessed that her dad is gay and doesn't mind. Max's mother walks in on him kissing Sami. After a visit to his solicitor, Doug admits that Eileen has a strong legal claim on the pub. Ros tells Sami that Max slept with Carrie after their row.
George is trying to convince Hector to house-share with Meredith and herself. Katie finds Conrad's stolen photo of Tanya. Her dad admits he's finding it hard to move on and finds out from Myra that Tanya suffered a miscarriage over the weekend. Elsewhere, Eileen organises a party to celebrate getting the pub.
Dr Hector doesn't like living with Meredith; she's a tad too selfish with the hot water in the morning so tells her and George that he's leaving. Hearing they're stuck, Katie agrees to move in - but only if she can have Meredith's big room.
Cat is desperate to find Eileen as she really doesn't want her to sell the pub to a chain. However, Eileen doesn't care. Yasmin takes Sami some flowers round only to find his one-night stand there. Alex lets Yasmin do a makeover on him.
Conrad's been sacked, but the only thing on his mind is Tanya. Alex senses something is wrong and refuses to give Conrad his car keys; Conrad thumps him. Sami's stunned to hear that his father is seriously ill in hospital.
Conrad is shocked when Alex announces that he's leaving tonight to go to LA to be with his mum and sister. Sami's dad, on his death bed, tells him that he'd like to see him married.
Sami's ignoring calls from his family while he worries about his father's dying wish for him to get married. Eileen plays Cat at her own game after she kicks off about the pub going gay; she implies she'll find different buyers, not giving away her plan to sell to property developers.
Eileen is in two minds whether to accept the generous offer from the developers for the pub. After she sees all of Charnham turn against her, Eileen's quick to make up her mind.
Chrissy backs out of the "Save the Swan" campaign as it seems to be getting too nasty. Seeing how sexy and funny Meredith's boyfriend is, Hector is much deflated. Sami prepares to see the future wife that his mother has lined up, totally unaware of her beauty and taste. Eileen stumbles across thieves who've broken into the pub.
The nurses' party is going with a swing. As Meredith and Markham kiss, Hector and Katie console each other. Chloe's birthday party ends abruptly when she discovers The Black Swan on fire, and party guests watch as the pub explodes.
Coral arrives in Stanley Street wanting to measure up for curtains at number eight. When her partner Jason shows up, Doug and Cat are left thinking that they really don't want them to be their neighbours. Sami lies to Shireen and says he already has a girlfriend and that they're in love. Chrissy is distraught after finding a mislaid note from Eileen; it seems like a final goodbye!
Nathan and Eve view Conrad's old house. When they get talking to Doug it's very clear that he prefers them over the snooty couple from yesterday, so he invites them to look around the far-more-desirable number eight. The detective puts Chrissy's mind at rest when she reports that Eileen had shown up in a Hastings hospital, although she's still missing now.
The race is on for the nice house next to Doug and Cat's, and the dirty tricks between the two new couples have already begun. Myra is amazed when Babs is flattered that she watched her film.
Vicar Damian takes a very dressed-up Babs out on what she thinks is a date. Shireen tells Sami that she knows he's gay because of how he kissed her. Sami's sure it's only a matter of time before his family find out now.
Babs's vicar, Damian Harrison, asks her to help him put on a pantomime production of Dick Whittington. Chrissy can't believe Gary's agreed to look after little Davie. She tells Myra she's found a lump in her breast.
Chrissy is interrupted by Chloe as she's examining her breasts. Meanwhile, Babs is drumming up trade for the panto auditions. Katie knows this is a great chance to be spotted and is quick to join up. Nathan is surprised that Eve is being so sick as she didn't drink that much the night before. Under Gary and Chrissy's care, Chloe, in an outfit she's not allowed to wear, sneaks out with Davie.
Eve worries when she finds out that she's pregnant and realises that there's no extra cash around. Hector runs through his lines for the panto with George; unbeknownst to him, she falls for him at that moment. Sami gets Shireen and Brett together in a bid to get Brett's approval. Chrissy calls the doctor for an emergency appointment after Gary storms out.
Katie and Yasmin fall out after the latter gives the former a makeover for her panto audition. Yasmin's idea of a virginal look is quite different to Katie's. Worried about karma, Chrissy goes to confession.
Eve and Nathan are looking forward to parenthood and book a doctor's appointment; so does Chrissy. Later, she tells Myra that the doctor has arranged for her to have a mammogram. Gary's still in the dark. Meanwhile, the sexual tension between Brett and Sami continues to simmer...
The doctor reveals that the lump in Chrissy's breast is malignant. Sami's jealous of Brett's ex, Guy, who wants to get back with him; Babs is becoming increasingly overbearing in the direction of the panto and ends up posing a real problem after the cast start to walk out!
Brett and Sami may be in good spirits after their weekend away, but it's doomed after Sami backs out from telling his mum that the wedding's off. Fed up with pandering to the old people in the hospital, Meredith bunks off work feigning a migraine.
Yasmin tells Brett that he should let Sami marry. Brett offers Sami a ticket on the same flight as him to Australia. George is upset when she hears that one of her favorite patients is terminally ill, but she's impressed with Hector's bedside manner.
Chrissy wakes up in hospital from her surgery with Gary by her side. Chrissy tells Eve, who is visiting, that she deserves bad news from the doctors as she lied about Chloe having cancer in the past. Caring George makes a plan to allow her patient, Madge, to see her friends on Remembrance Day. Yasmin arrives at Marc's to find a scantily-clad Katie in the flat!
Marc is bewildered when Katie says their night together was just a one-night-stand after they both agreed it was fabulous. Jason and Coral go to dinner at Nathan and Eve's. Chrissy is shocked to learn she's pregnant.
A smitten Marc books a surprise trip to Amsterdam for Katie, Damian conducts the Remembrance Day service. Despite being broke, Meredith puts £20 into the collection. While Chrissy is in hospital for cancer treatment, she and Gary consider their options now she's pregnant. Chrissy wants to know if her cancer has spread before agreeing to a termination.
Gary overhears Chrissy talking about her pregnancy with Eve, and wishes that she would talk to him. Following a meeting with her accountant, Yasmin makes Chrissy redundant. Coral is annoyed when Jason tells her that they can't move in for another day.
Marc's shocked when his ex, Lara walks in with their daughter Poppy. Babs tries to convince a nervous Cat to be in the panto. Chrissy breaks down when she hears that her cancer has spread and she needs chemotherapy.Coral and Jason struggle with their moving in.
Coral soon finds that having a beautiful nurse as a neighbour is not good for her ego or her shoe collection. Marc is ashamed with himself after Doug confronts him about Poppy; he didn't know he was a granddad to another little girl.
Coral climbs onto the roof of the pub to retrieve her missing lovebird. Gary admits that he doesn't want a baby. Yasmin is shocked to finally discover that Poppy is Marc's daughter.
Away from the agony of her health problems, Chrissy takes Chloe shopping for her first bra. Elsewhere, Katie is outraged with Marc and dumps him. Doug feels responsible when Justin discovers a note from Marc, saying that he's left.
Now Marc has run away from all his responsibilities, Cat struggles to look after Poppy and manage work. Meanwhile, Justin tries to look after the café and Ben worries about how the rent's going to get paid now Marc's not contributing. When Marc pops back for his passport, Justin does his best to convince him to stay.
Chrissy and Gary are kicking themselves, once again, for lying to Chloe. Chloe's friend comes up with the idea of going to London and asking homeless people if they've seen Melanie.
After being shunned for her selfish behaviour last night, Meredith can see the bond warming up between Hector and George. Gary struggles with getting private health care for Chrissy and controlling rebellious Chloe.
George walks in on a naked Hector in the bathroom. Yasmin uses the slot on the radio, booked to promote the Dick Whittington panto, to boost her business instead. PC Nathan Fletcher stops Gary driving and smells booze on his breath...
After a disastrous night of entertaining, Coral worries that she's ruined Jason's chances of promotion. Marc tells Yasmin exactly how he feels about her. Babs comes up with a plan to boost panto ticket sales. Chrissy and Gary are ecstatic following a good result from the amnio test.And Rex starts to think that maybe the pub is cursed.
Eve becomes very tempted to kill after an afternoon of trying to teach Coral to cook. The panto has sold out, and Babs is freaking out. But after finding a new Dick, Babs is happy once again. Myra's sure that there are more spirits in the pub than the ones in the bottles; after a strange occurrence, she's not alone in her suspicions...
It's Sami's wedding day and Brett wonders if he will go through with the charade. Yasmin tries to pull her brains out via her left nostril as the panto pressure rises. Tony, aka King Rat, has been dumped by his wife leaving Cat providing the shoulder to cry on. It's a shame that Doug's spending so much time on the pub refurbishment; perhaps there's trouble ahead...
Shireen pulls out all the stops to make sure Sami marries her and is putting the pressure on Brett to ensure that she gets what she wants. Meanwhile, Babs is putting Mussolini and Hitler to shame with the directing of the panto; Aamina is far from pleased following Sami's outing and the failed wedding. Sami's dad dies following the debacle.
Babs warns Doug to make more time for Cat before it's too late. Yasmin falls from the stage and fears she's broken her ankle; Sami is left blaming himself for his father's death. His brother asks him not to attend the burial.
Babs is excited at getting first refusal of the shop as she's not quite ready for a sleepy retirement yet. Damian, the victor, piggybacks Yas to the performance. Aamina offers to help Sami with his gay affliction. But when Sami rejects his mother's so-called help, she stabs him...
The cast puts on a perfect performance of the panto, which goes public today, and get rave reviews. Outside, Doug catches "The Rat" and warns him off Cat. Later, he gives Cat a pair of round-the-world cruise tickets departing New Year's day.
It's not looking very hopeful for a Merry Costello Christmas; Eve's not very happy either after Nathan refuses to visit his mother-in-law. Yasmin plans to be a church volunteer just to get closer to Damian. Competition stiffens between the pub and the café.
Eve's left lying in the road while the driver speeds off. Nathan takes the RTA call, but his colleague attends for him. In the hospital, George, Meredith and Hector take in Eve unbeknownst to who it is; they were all chatting with her only that morning.
Yasmin's in turmoil after arranging wedding flowers for a funeral while volunteering at the church; Gary gets it all wrong buying gifts, so loses his rag with Chrissy.
Eve wakes up in hospital wondering what has happened. How is Nathan going to tell her that she's lost the baby and a fallopian tube? Belinda gives Gary £1,000 for a perfect Christmas.
The Phoenix opens its doors to Charnham while Rex and Hester toast to new beginnings. Yasmin finds some cheerier hymns. Belinda lets slip to Chrissy that she knew Gary better than either of them have let on.
Eve comes home from hospital to a lovely Christmas tree and a doting Nathan, who has an engagement ring for her. Yasmin's wondering if going gospel is a tall order for the church choir. Chrissy confronts Myra over the card to Gary from Belinda. Coral's sister shows up with a caravan of offspring all set to ruin the Wildings' festive plans.
After an injured stuntman takes a fancy to George, Hector finally notices her and takes heed the advice about the quiet ones from the randy patient. Belinda tells a miffed Chrissy she made a pass at Gary. Cat helps Yasmin inject a little soul into the choir, And the Christmas lights get turned on outside The Phoenix.
It's do or die time for the church choir; George curtly informs Hector that becoming another notch on the stuntman's bedpost is exactly what she needs, but Meredith gets to him first.
Roxanne's pushing her luck at the Wildings', Eve refuses to do Coral's hair after she discovers nits. Meredith's begging George for her forgiveness, as she really should be paying more attention when administering diamorphine. Nathan and Gary make sure Chloe gets her white Christmas, while Roxanne does her best to unwrap Jason. One of Chrissy's wishes comes true.
Damian makes sure that Yasmin doesn't have a lonely Christmas; Elsewhere, it seems that Chrissy doesn't want her wish after all and throws long-lost Melanie out of the house; Coral gets rid of her nightmare sister and nit-ridden kids at last.
Myra tells Melanie that her mum has cancer. Damian is showing signs of reluctance to be Yasmin's date for the ball. Eileen sends a Christmas card to the Costellos; Festive celebrations cease after Chrissy collapses.
Katie wakes up next to a lover full of regret. Obviously being called Rex's ex's name didn't stop her last night. Nurses George and Meredith both get a roasting at work. Hector is held accountable; will he take the rap for the overdose? Gary stands vigil at Chrissy's bedside; the baby is fine but she needs more tests to see if the cancer has spread.
Katie quizzes Hester about the murder of Rex's wife. Katie and Rex decide to keep their relationship a secret, but Hester sees them kissing and her blood boils. Yasmin's new, elegant look is a hit with the local vicar! Docile Doug gets an ornament thrown at his head when Cat drunkenly tries to get a reaction from him.
Jason tells Coral she can have her lip implants if she lends her wedding dress to Eve. Katie stands her ground when Hester confronts her over her brother Rex; George interrupts Hector's interview with Sister Flint to confess her own actions and get Hector off the hook.
Eve looks stunning in Coral's wedding dress and is now Mrs Fletcher, as her and Nathan are married. Residents celebrate the New Year: George kisses Hector; Meredith sulks alone; Doug punches Tony; and then the series is seen out with fireworks...
