The journey of four hapless male wannabes; a Model, a Stuntman, a Dwarf Entertainer and a Stand-up Comedian, all trying (and failing) to find success in Auckland's ridiculously small entertainment industry.
A woman unable to conceive a child with her husband, despite 15 months of trying, makes the drunken mistake of sleeping with a young stranger. The stranger then goes to terrifying lengths to prove his paternity.
Xena, a mighty Warrior Princess with a dark past, sets out to redeem herself. She is joined by small town bard, Gabrielle. Together they journey the ancient world and fight for the greater good against ruthless Warlords and Gods.
The hair! The shoulder pads! The dialogue! And most important of all, the opportunity to see previously respected actors make fools of themselves because our television/film/theatre industry is so small. I only wish TVNZ will dust off this sub-Dynasty piece of 80s kitsch in honour of the millennium.
