Many of Fox's series have already been renewed for another season. What does the future hold for the rest of their TV shows? Cancelled or renewed for 2014-15? We'll have to wait and see.

New Fox shows (so far): Almost Human, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Dads, MasterChef Junior, and Sleepy Hollow.

Returning shows (so far): American Dad!, Bob's Burgers, Bones, Family Guy, Glee, The Mindy Project, New Girl, Raising Hope, The Simpsons, and The X Factor.

Two new clips from Kevin Smith’s Tusk

16 September 2014 10:28 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

We’ve had a couple of posters for Kevin Smith’s upcoming horror flick Tusk this week [see here and here] along with a ‘From Pod to Screen’ featurette [see here], and now we have a pair of clips from the film, which hits theaters in the States this Friday. Check them out below…

From the singular mind of writer/director and podcaster Kevin Smith, and conceived from one of Smith’s own Smodcasts, Tusk is a story unlike anything that has ever been committed to screen before. A tale that is equal parts hilarious and horrifying, Tusk will stay with you long after the credits roll.

Featuring in the cast of Tusk are Justin Long (Jeepers Creepers), Michael Parks (Red State), Genesis Rodriquez (The Last Stand), Haley Joel Osmont (The Sixth Sense), Harley Morenstein (Epic Meal Time), Ralph Garman (Family Guy) and Johnny Depp (The Lone Ranger). Watch the trailer here.

Tusk opens in the States on September 19th. »

New Girl EPs Tease Bridal, Bruising, Biel-Filled Season 4 Premiere

15 September 2014 7:00 AM, PDT | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

It’s been a cruel, cruel summer for the lofties of Fox’s New Girl, who’ve endured wedding after wedding with little more than a refrigerator door full of save-the-dates to show for it.

But as Season 4 opens (Tuesday at 9/8c), the group’s long, nuptial nightmare is drawing to a much-desired close.

“We pick them up [as they're] about to attend the very last wedding of the season,” executive producer Brett Baer tells TVLine. And all of those champagne toasts and garter tosses have proven fertile romantic ground for some (Schmidt, Coach), not so much for others (Jess, Winston).

but after a couple of comments she lets the punters get on with trying not to look too disappointed by the valuation of their family treasures

Heres an interesting-looking old relic someone has brought along to Antiques Roadshow (BBC1, Sunday). A tiny figure, in duck blue with matching hat. Looks very old, but still in reasonable condition. Worth an absolute fortune, round about £330m, the expert says.

Because shes the Queen, the actual Queen, who just happens to be at Hillsborough castle at the same time as the Ar. Well, it is her place in Northern Ireland. She drops by because, says Fiona Bruce, shes a fan of the programme. Nonsense, Ive heard from reliable sources that she watches back-to-back Family Guy and nothing else. While Philip is a Game of Thrones man, for the girls. Hes here, but kept safely back, in case of inappropriateness, I imagine.

New Trailer Sees Chris Evans Playing It Cool

13 September 2014 3:35 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

I’m just going to put this out there: romantic comedies are now really hard to write. I mean, as a creative endeavour, it’s a full-on cliché minefield. To correctly balance all the elements required – chemistry, tension, humour, romance – while avoiding the most well-worn cinematic devices, is monumentally difficult. A fool’s errand, some might say. And yet, still they appear, because still writers try to bring something new and fresh to the genre. Still we buy those tickets, and sit in the dark – hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but knowing we will probably be disappointed.

So, here we are again, with a new trailer for another daring attempt. The film is titled Playing It Cool in this preview, but was previously known as A Many Splintered Thing. Does it achieve the impossible dream? Is this film that most elusive of treasures – that mythic creature that continually slips our collective grasp? »

New Ted 2 Image Promises More Flash Gordon

12 September 2014 2:55 PM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

While Seth MacFarlane’s second feature directorial effort, A Million Ways to Die in the West, was a bit of a bust at the box office, it’s likely that his third film will do just fine.  The Family Guy creator is currently in production on the comedy sequel Ted 2, and considering the R-rated first film made over $500 million at the worldwide box office, it’s safe to assume that interest is high for the follow-up.  We still don’t really know much about the pic other than the fact that Mila Kunis has a reduced role while Amanda Seyfried takes on leading lady duties, but a new Ted 2 image has arrived thanks to star Mark Wahlberg, who shared a sneak peek on his Twitter.  The image doesn’t show Ted himself, but fans of the heavy Flash Gordon references from the first film will be pleased to »

Fox has released a bunch of new images from their upcoming Simpsons and Family Guy crossover episode, "The Simpson's Guy." In case you missed it, you can watch 5-minutes of the episode here.

I fell in love with The Simpson's all over again when Fxx ran the Every Episode Ever Marathon, and this episode looks like it going to be hilarious. Here's the synopsis:

Peter (Seth MacFarlane) and the Griffins get out of dodge and end up in Springfield, where they are greeted by a friendly stranger named Homer Simpson (guest voice Dan Castellaneta), who welcomes his new “albino” friends with open arms. The families get along famously: Stewie (MacFarlane) becomes obsessed with Bart (guest voicec Nancy Cartwright) and his old-fashioned pranks; Lisa (guest voice Yeardley Smith) takes Meg (Mila Kunis) under her wing and is determined to find something – anything – at which she excels; Marge (guest voice Julie Kavner »

'Simpsons' star Yeardley Smith talks 'Family Guy' crossover, Hollywood Bowl show

11 September 2014 11:36 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

For a show entering its 26th season, "The Simpsons" has been generating a lot of fresh news lately.  There was last month's Fxx Every Simpsons Ever Marathon, in which all 552 episodes and the movie were aired in sequence, single-handedly transforming Fxx from a cable curiosity into a destination.  For lucky residents of Los Angeles, there's this weekend's The Simpsons Take The Bowl three night event. Starting on Friday, September 12, Hank Azaria will host a trio of live shows at the Hollywood Bowl featuring the likes of Conan O'Brien, Nancy Cartwright, Beverly D'Angelo, Jon Lovitz, Yeardley Smith, "Weird Al" Yankovic, series creator Matt Groening and more, with musical performances accompanied by clips. [Timed around the Bowl show is Thursday night's "Simpsons" music-themed marathon on Fxx, which runs from 8 p.m. to midnight.] And then for everybody, "The Simpsons" returns to Fox on Sunday, September 28 with a fall of new episodes that include a major character death and a "Futurama" crossover and that's not even mentioning the "Family Guy" premiere, which features a much-discussed visit to Springfield. »

The Simpsons to cross over with the Tracey Ullman Simpsons

11 September 2014 6:10 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Not content with crossovers with fellow Matt Groening show Futurama and rival Fox animated series Family Guy, it has now been announced that The Simpsons will be meeting up with their original counterparts from The Tracey Ullman Show shorts as part of the annual ‘Treehouse of Horror’ Halloween special…

According to Entertainment Weekly, the October 19th ‘Treehouse of Horror’ will feature “a segment that parodies The Others, in which the Simpsons are haunted by another ghostly family living in the house. These ghosts turn out to be none other than their crudely drawn former selves.”

The Simpsons of course made their debut back in 1987 as the stars of a series of 48 animated shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show, before the launch of the actual show in 1989. It returns for its 25th season on September 29th.

Ted 2 Moves Forward As Morgan Freeman Joins The Cast

Even God himself isn’t offended by the foul-mouthed antics of a stoner teddy bear. The man upstairs with his unmistakable booming voice, Morgan Freeman, will be sharing screentime with the pint-sized plushie for next summer’s Ted 2.

With shooting already underway on the sequel, Freeman will be heading out to Boston to join production. Returning cast members include Mark Wahlberg as Ted’s best buddy John; Mila Kunis in a brief cameo as John’s girlfriend, and Amanda Barth as Ted’s checkout girlfriend, Tami-Lynn.

Freeman won’t be the only new kid in class though, as Amanda Seyfried has taken the baton from Kunis and will take over as the female lead. According to Variety, Freeman will “play an iconic civil rights lawyer who comes into the picture when Ted needs to resolve some legal issues.” We can already sense a cuss-ridden verbal sparring between the pair. »
