Seth is quoted...

"The single most asked question about the show. They can , they can hear him and understand him, its just that he's a baby and for that reason they just don't take what he says with any seriousness."

Although closed captions have written "effin' cry,"Seth MacFarlane maintains on the DVD commentary that the lyric has always been "laugh and cry." Seth MacFarlane re-recorded the lyric for season 4 and enunciated the words more clearly.

Season Eight begins September 27th

Yes. "Something Something Something Darkside" will be FG's adaptation of "Episode V: Empire Strikes Back". There is no word on an airdate... however...

According to Stewie's Playground, on March 25th, Family Guy producer David Goodman said, Empire Strikes Back will air at the end of next season. Characters from The Cleveland Show and American Dad will probably show up in Return of the Jedi.

He also said the "Return of the Jedi" parody has gone into production.

In a new Crave interview Seth said "It will air either in the spring or the early, early fall."

Theres still some debate as to how its going to be released. It may go out on DVD first, but thats a decision the Fox people will have to make. Ive also heard an airdate of spring 2009, but I honestly have no idea. In no way do I speak for Fox, or any of its subsidiary companies. - Kirker Butler

We just had our animatic screening. We are shipping it off to be animated and I don't know when it's supposed to air but it's coming up soon. There was some talk at some point that it would be released on DVD first and then be aired. I don't know if that's happening. It may air first but it's basically done. It just has to be animated but all the writing is done, the animatic is finished - Seth MacFarlane - October 6, 2008

The confirmed cast is ... Chris Griffin / Luke Skywalker * Peter Griffin / Han Solo * Lois Griffin / Princess Leia * Stewie Griffin / Darth Vader * Brian Griffin / Chewbacca * Glenn Quagmire / C-3PO * Cleveland Brown / R2-D2 * Herbert / Obi-Wan Kenobi * Ernie the Giant Chicken / Boba Fett * Mort Goldman / Lando Calrissian * Joe Swanson / Imperial Probe Droid * Carl (The Convenient Store Manager) / Yoda * Opie/Snow Creature

It has been confirmed that Family Guy will do a Return of the Jedi parody.

The working title is "Episode VI: The Great Muppet Caper"

In the same Crave interview as above Seth mentions the Jedi parody... "Its being discussed. Its a lot of work. Those episodes are a lot of work, so were discussing when the best time is to begin that."

04/16/09 The Adam Carolla Podcast

"Family Guy" creator Seth McFarlane appeared on The Adam Carolla Podcast, where he discussed turning the hit show into a big screen feature.

"I can say with definitive assuredness that it will be out within the next few years," he said. "We already know what it's gonna be. We've been trying to lock into something that makes it so that it has to be a movie, as opposed to an extended 'Family Guy' episode. And I like the 'Simpson's Movie,' but that's something they could do with animation on TV because they're not constrained by sets. You have to find some way to make it so that it has to be a movie."

"We want to do it. And it is time. In the past six months we have seriously started talking about it. And my hope is that we will get it going within the next year. Doing the show is a seven-day a week process, so I don't know how we will squeeze in a movie. But we will figure it out. I have an idea about what it will be. It is definitely something you wouldn't be able to do on the show. That's the only reason to do a movie." - Seth MacFarlane - from TV Week - July 16th, 2008

[b]"We are in talks with the Fox Feature Dept to do a Family Guy movie yes, we're excited, it's been a long time..."
(Jay cut him off after 'time') - Seth MacFarlane - from The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno - July 31st, 2008 ___________________________________________

"Yes, actually weve been talking about it seriously. We have very unconventional ways to approach it I cant reveal yet, but we have one extremely unexpected approach to the movie. There is no way you could do this on TV, lets put it that way."

"Honestly thats a good question and I was about to talk out of my ass there but I dont know. I would hope within the year that it would begin."

"The movie would have to be something that exists on its own and doesnt interrupt the flow of the series. What we have in mind for the movies is in some ways the universe of the series and in some ways not. We dont want to do just a long episode we want to do something that could only be done in a movie."
- Seth MacFarlane - from Crave Online: October 6, 2008

Is Stewie gay/bisexual ?

Interveiw by Brandon Voss From The Advocate February 26, 2008

"{Stewie} arguably {is} the most complex character. He originally began as this diabolical villain, but then we delved into the idea of his confused sexuality. We all feel that Stewie is almost certainly gay, and hes in the process of figuring it out for himself. We havent ever really locked into it because we get a lot of good jokes from both sides, but we treat him oftentimes as if we were writing a gay character." - Seth MacFarlane

"The Father, The Son and the Holy Fonz"

"Peter's Two Dads" (Original Airing)

"I'll Take Thee Quagmire" (Original Airing)

"Family Gay"

Please note that they were only rated TV-MA on [adult swim]. However "The Father, The Son and the Holy Fonz" was also rated TV-MA on TBS.

The 1st: "DaBoom" (Season 2).

The 2nd: "Blind Ambition" (Season 4).

The 3rd: "No Chris Left Behind" (Season 5).

Ernie's 4th appearance is: "Meet The Quagmires" (Season 5) but a fight is prevented.

Ernie makes a 5th in a cameo in "The Juice is Loose" (Season 7) in the mob confronting O.J. Simpson.

And Ernie is set to make a 6th appearance in forthcoming: "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side". Which is the next installment in the Star Wars retelling episodes. The episode is a retelling of Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back and Ernie is set to play the character of Boba Fett. Which is very appropriate, considering the fact, that Peter plays the character of Han Solo.

It was from the movie "Anchors Aweigh." Stewie danced with the legendary Gene Kelly. Originally Gene Kelly danced with Jerry the Mouse of "Tom and Jerry" fame.

Kenny Loggins's "Mr. Night".

The scene is virtually identical to the scene in Caddyshack with Lois replacing Cindy Morgan's character

During the "My Black Son" intro, Peter and his black son are biking along a beach and get distracted by a black-hair thin woman, causing them to fall onto the sand. This is a parody of the "John Ritter as Jack Tripper" scene during the first season of "Three's Company."

Also during the "My Black Son" intro there are nods to Punky Brewster (Peter picks up the frozen dinner), "Family Ties" (Peter in the Ohio shirt), "Perfect Strangers" (the revolving door), "Who's the Boss?" (the curtain vacuuming), "Laverne & Shirley" (the glove on the conveyor belt, the doors hitting each other, and the dough landing on Peter and Lois while they kiss), and "Bosom Buddies" (catching fruit with the bag).

"Friends and Lovers" by Gloria Loring and Carl Anderson

"Model Misbehavior" (Peter is actually performing "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" by Mozart)

"No Chris Left Behind"

Geto Boyz - "Still"

Scene & music from the movie Office Space

Kenny Loggins - I'm Free (Heaven Helps The Man)

In "Family Guy: No Chris Left Behind (#5.16)", it was revealed his name is Bruce. He is voiced by Mike Henry.

Cleveland and Kevin were uninteresting to write for so they were written out of the show. Alex asked for Loretta to be written out because of the strain it took on her voice.

Joe reveals in "Stew-roids", Kevin died in Iraq.

Loretta was last seen in "Love Blactually" and presumably seen for the last time since Cleveland said his final goodbyes to her.

Cleveland Jr. is presumed to be living with his mother after she divorced Cleveland. He was last seen in "The Perfect Castaway" attending his father's memorial service but had no lines.

He will be appearing in the spin off show "Cleveland" but looking much different then he appeared on Family Guy. He's older, has gained a great deal of weight & requires glasses.

Lacey Chabert

"You know, it was just purely a contractual thing. Lacey Chabert, I think there was a mistake in her contract, and I guess she had not intended to be involved for, like, the full run of the show. I don't even remember. To be honest, I don't really, to this day, know what it was. It was nothing there was no tension or anything. She wanted to go, and she was very cool about it. We obviously don't want to keep anyone there who doesn't want to be there. So, you know, it was early on enough in the show that it wasn't a huge that happens from time to time, you've got to replace a voice actor. Fortunately, what Mila Kunis brought to it, Mila Kunis, was in a lot of ways, I thought, almost more right for the character. I say that Lacey Chabert did a phenomenal job, but there was something about Mila Kunis something very natural about Mila Kunis". -- Seth MacFarlane

Who voices Herbert ?

Mike Henry voices Herbert, along with Cleveland, the performance artist (Bruce), the greased up deaf guy, and additional voices.

"We are well aware that the labeling of the seasons on these DVDs are confusing, but for some reason FOX in the UK has decided to categorizes the episodes differently to FOX in the States."

"Originally "Family Guy" was only available on DVD in the UK and were sold as seasons 1, 2, and 3. Then the States caught up by selling those seasons as two volumes. Since then FOX has opted for global releases, which seems to have resulted in the UK DVDs (as well other non region 1 areas) continuing to be labelled as seasons despite not being complete seasons."

There's really is no reason for confusion when it comes to the dvd sets. After Season 3, the sets have been released as identical "Volumes" for all regions but remain labeled as "Seasons" or "Series" outside R1, despite NOT being complete seasons. In fact with the exception of Season 3, there has never been a complete season set for any region.

All information below is based on how Family Guy aired originally & presently on FOX in the U.S.

Region 1 ......................................................Region 2,3,4

"Volume 1" (Complete Seasons 1 & 2) = "Season 1" (Complete Season 1 & Seven episodes of Season 2)

"Volume 2" (Complete Season 3) = "Season 2" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 2)

N/A = "Season 3" (Complete Season 3)

(Sets now become identical but named differently)

"Volume 3" (First 13 episodes of Season 4) = "Season 4" (First 13 episodes of Season 4)

"Volume 4" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 4 (minus "Stewie B. Goode", "Bango Was His Name-O" & "Stu & Stewie's Excellent Adventure")) = "Season 5" (Remaining 14 episodes of Season 4 (minus "Stewie B. Goode", "Bango Was His Name-O" & "Stu & Stewie's Excellent Adventure"))

"Volume 5" (First 13 episodes of Season 5) = "Season 6" (First 13 episodes of Season 5)

"Volume 6" (Remaining 5 episodes of Season 5 and the first 7 episodes of Season 6 (minus "Blue Harvest")) = "Season 7" (Remaining 5 episodes of Season 5 and the first 7 episodes of Season 6 (minus "Blue Harvest"))

"Volume 7" ("Back to the Woods", "Play it Again Brian", "The Former Life of Brian" & "Long John Peter" and Season 7's episodes - "Love Blactually" to "The Juice Is Loose!") = "Season 8" ("Back to the Woods", "Play it Again Brian", "The Former Life of Brian" & "Long John Peter" and Season 7's episodes - "Love Blactually" to "The Juice Is Loose!")

Next Set: Release date TBA

"Volume 8" ("FOX-y Lady", "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven", "420", "Stew-Roids", "We Love You Conrad", "Three Kings", "Peter's Progress" & presumably the first 6 episodes of Season 8) = "Season 9" ("FOX-y Lady", "Not All Dogs Go to Heaven", "420", "Stew-Roids", "We Love You Conrad", "Three Kings", "Peter's Progress" & presumably the first 6 episodes of Season 8)

Fox, being a "conservative" network, censors parts of Family Guy on the original airings. Sometimes parts are cut, but usually, an alternate, Fox-approved scene is made. TBS typically shows the Fox versions. When is began its syndicated run, local networks, such as the CW, will often used even further censored versions.

In the U.S., the only network to air uncensored (except for profanity) versions is Cartoon Network, i.e. Adult Swim. These versions will generally be the final cuts from Seth MacFarlane and the other producers.

Seth has mentioned they occasionally make 2 or 3 versions of scenes, one for FOX, one for adult swim and sometimes another for the dvds

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

No, they don't. Despite her receiving the most amount of neglect, her family still loves her. Peter is the main one responsible for the constant put-downs aimed at Meg. However in "Road to Rupert" Peter and Meg bonded after Meg viciously beat up a guy after she was called a "dumb bimbo". However, this was short lived as Peter only bonded with Meg when his licence was suspended. Peter then receives his licence and Meg states the family will go back to hating her. However, Peter states they will be secret best friends and their friendship cannot be mentioned to the family as Peter apparently deals with peer pressure by his family (as he is the main one who makes crude, unloving jokes about Meg)

It's a reference to Monty Pythons 1983 film "The Meaning of Life"

Yes, his name is Jay.

He was named after an audience member who asked this very same question during a Q&A session after a "Family Guy Live" performance in Montreal, at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in July of 2007.

Yes, she's very much a real woman.

Cherry Chevapravatdumrong pronounced -- Che-va (rhymes w/ She-va), pra-vat (sounds like Lava w/ a T at the end), dum (sounds like dumb), rong (sounds like wrong)

She is of Thai ancestry and is currently the executive story editor & co-producer on Family Guy.
