The Griffin household includes two teenagers, a cynical dog who is smarter than everyone else, and an evil baby who makes numerous attempts to eradicate his mother. Heading up this eclectic household is Peter Griffin. Peter does his best to do what's right for the family, but along the way, he makes mistakes that are the stuff of legends. Written by
Man oh man, talk about a fall from grace...to be perfectly honest, I've never liked this show. Even from its very humble, "Simpsons" ripoff first season to its reinvention thanks to Adult Swim, "Family Guy"'s existence only serves to prove that you can push the envelope so many times until you come off as middle school-esquire and desperate. Nothing in this show has ANY redeemable value with this viewer, and as time and seasons progressed, everything about it became cheaper, lamer, and more retardation-inducing. What does the show have to offer as comedy as 2010 rolls in? Goofy being a part of 9/11? Quagmire going on a seven minute rant about why he hates Brian? The fact that this show still garners viewers only goes to prove that the television viewing public has gotten stupider and more vapid as time progresses. Simply put, this is one of the worst things on TV today, alongside "The Cleveland Show", "30 Rock", and the American version of "The Office". Congrats, Seth MacFarlane, I really hope that 100 million dollars was worth giving up your soul and credibility. Cancel this right now.
