A white piano with signatures all over it appears at the party. In Girl Crazy (1943), in the number "Embraceable You," Judy Garland's character Ginger Gray gets a white piano as a birthday gift with all the signatures of the boys attending Cody College. Charles Walters, the director of this short, was Judy Garland's dance partner in that number. Since the movie was made two years earlier, this is probably the same white piano used in Girl Crazy.
PROLOGUE: "This is a story of a bankrupt gate who couldn't get her rent paid up to date. She was sad and despondent; she was on a spot 'till her friend bought brought her a bottle...WAIT! We're givin' away the plot."
EPILOGUE: "The moral of this story is very plain---when you worry 'bout the rent, you worry in vain. Call a friend, get a 'bottle,' and your worries are through. You can take it from us, that's all you have to do.
