NBC's The West Wing tied with HBO's The Sopranos to take 18 Primetime Emmy nominations, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced in Hollywood this morning. Since they are both series dramas, the two shows will compete against each another in a number of top categories. Other shows singled out for multiple nominations included the TV movies RKO 281, about the making of Citizen Kane, which received 13 nods and the latest remake of Annie, which garnered 12.
