Better than soul calibur.

A few years ago, I was addicted to this game. It's really awesome. Now the graphics are not so impressive but its still great fun. The best features are the Edge Master Mode , which is unique, and the marvelous songs played there, specially in li long and rock stages. The Edge Master brings to us a story for each character; and is very fun to collect each unique weapon that brings special powers to the chosen character. In addition, some stages are very impressive, and there are some extra stages and characters and finals for improved fun. A great work from Namco. Despite its worse graphics, I believe it's better than soul calibur ( the sequel in dreamcast and later in ps2) because it's not a button smasher fighting game (like soul calibur) but a game that you play thinking about you're doing , in a pace acceptable to me.

One of the best fighting-games for your Playstation

First "Soul Edge" for the Playstation is called "Soul Blade". From the company that gave us the "Tekken-series" came "Soul Edge", a new fighter, which focused more on weapon-based fighting than any other game before it. The pace of the game is much faster than "Tekken", it has great playability and nice graphics. This game is very cheap nowadays, and if you own the trilogy of "Tekken", then this game will certainly please you. The sequel to "Soul Blade" is called "Soul Calibur", and is available for the Sega Dreamcast.

9/10

The beginning of a legend.

Soul Edge(Soul Blade) was originally an Arcade. But this game went to Playstation. For 1996, the graphics were astronomically good. The sound was perfect, with many voices. The gameplay was the best part. The controls were simple, and the moves were easy to make(some moves were activated with only one button!). And the game had a high Fun Factor.Very High. If you have another controller and a friend near your house, the Fun Factor goes much higher. Soul Edge's sequence was launched in 1999 for Dreamcast. It was named Soul Calibur. And Soul Calibur 2 was launched in 2003 for Gamecube, Xbox, Playstation2 and Arcade. 9/10.
