A porn movie disguising as a thriller. Acting? Not really. Suspense? None at all - though there were a couple of attempts at it. Sets are cheap but neat and stylish, just like d'Amato's later hardcore movies. For the first 75 mins the movie drifts from one softcore scene to the next. They are unusually dull and uninventive for d'Amato (Cinzia's breasts are nice to behold nonetheless). A little violence (a head-shot and a rape scene) does not really help to rouse any excitement here; the scenes are too short and half-hearted to be memorable. In the last 15 mins, then, at last something's happening. More bloodshed and some double-crossing. Still, nothing to write home about. But if you've made it to this point, you'll probably take anything and say, 'Hey, now THAT's great!' I really love d'Amato's work, and I would describe myself as a hardcore fan (no pun intended), but this was about as bad as he could get. Watch any other of his late softcore flicks, and let this one pass by. Unless you're a fan of one of the actors/actresses or a hopeless completist like alphaboy.
