Storyline

Owners would bring in their pets to play pointless games of pet skill and agility. Snail racing, Dog snooker etc. For each game won, the owner got a choice of two envelopes. Inside one of them was a consumer durable for themselves and inside the other would be a present for their pet. The choice was random. In the final, all the winning owners took part in an animal related trivia quick-fire quiz. It was first on the buzzers and for every one they got right, their little cardboard cut out animal would move forward one square on the makeshift race track. The first one to the end or the person furthest along it when the three minutes ran up was declared the winner. Their big prize was decided by The Professor, a cute ickle pussy cat. There was a board with six sections on it, some really good (£1000, an exotic holiday), others not so good (some animal encyclopedias, and the infamous pet portrait). The Professor would be put on a board and wherever her front paws were at the end of the ... Written by Bob the Moo

Great Family Entertainment

PWP may not win any prizes itself as the greatest game show ever but give it credit. Come on well loved pets competing in a contest ! How radical is that ? We`d see a duck , a gerbil , a hamster and a guinea pig taking part in a race and its got to be seen to be believed , tears of laughter ran down this cynical reviewer`s face as the duck won . This is Saturday night light entertainment at its best .

Contary to what Bob has said I`ve got to say Dale Winton was the better presenter. If you`ve never seen Dale Winton let me point out he`s the campest man in the history of British television . One of the contestant`s was a tarantula ( Yes I don`t see why anyone would want one as a pet either ) to which Dale introduced it by saying " Now I don`t like big hairy things " Cue schoolboy sniggers from the audience " In fact they give me the willies " Cue loud Schoolboy laughter

It`s certainly a more memorable show than the rubbish that replaced it
