10 Things You Didn’t Know About Rosario Dawson

Netflix

A classic rags-to-riches story, Rosario Dawson began her career penniless, with no hopes of ever being an actor. Basically homeless, she was discovered on the streets and cast in her first film at the age of 15. She enjoyed the experience so much that she used her pay to take acting classes, and that’s how she ended up playing Night Nurse in Daredevil.

Her accomplishments sound a little less impressive when you put it like that, but Dawson’s performance as Claire Temple in Netflix’s first Marvel series was one of the highlights of that show. Director: Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski; Screenwriter: Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski; Starring: Channing Tatum, Mila Kunis, Eddie Redmayne, Sean Bean, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton; Running time: 127 mins; Certificate: 12A

Queen of said bees is Mila Kunis's Jupiter Jones, a cleaner from a poor immigrant family who discovers she's the exact genetic replica of alien royalty. The ability to manipulate swarms of those pesky insects appears to be her sole (and limited) superpower.

When Johnny Depp‘s mustache comedy “Mortdecai” brought in less than $5 million on opening weekend, it marked the A-list actor’s fifth straight box office bomb. But he’s far from the only top billed actor to endure a tanker or two.

The 51-year-old film star and his co-stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor and Olivia Munn are in fact in very good company.
