My reaction to this movie was very negative, at least partly because I often turn to French motion picture art to find originality. Originality is a quality this film utterly lacks, though. Allow me to explain:
The main character is apparently a serial killer (yawn), who lives in an apartment identical to the one inhabited by Kevin Spacey's character in Se7en. He scribbles books full of notes; the books and the handwriting are very similar to those seen in Se7en. The exaggeratedly loud sounds of water, electric lights etc. throughout the movie remind one of Eraserhead VERY strongly.
Briefly put, Exit is a collage of three or four other movies. It would almost be fair to say that nothing in this movie is original to the director/writer. I was very disappointed.
