I first saw this short film at the Stony Brook Film Festival in 1998 and fell in love with it. The whole idea of telling a story in a short amount of time was excellently accomplished with this film.. I so loved it that I contacted the director of the Film Festival to ask how to obtain my own copy. He put me in touch with the producer, Adam Kaufman. Mr. Kaufman then contacted me and we had a wonderful conversation regarding film-making and the the difficulties therein. Although I've never made a film myself I learned a lot about the challenges of it during our conversation. I loved the little girl and identified with her need to find a space of her own to be in solitude. The background music by Yanni also thoroughly enhanced the film. I hope to see more work from Mr. Kaufman and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
