It's one of the best cuban musical film that it has done.

La Bella del Alhambra is a film that doesn't have the purpose to result a complicated drama. The result is a very good musical melodrama of the Cuban's musical theatre reality of the 20's and the 30's , especially of the Alhambra, a musical theatre were only admitted male public.

The argument is based of the "Cancion de Rachel", book writen by Miguel Barnet, who interview a famous vedette of the Alhambra, Rachel.
