Did You Know?

Factual errors: Cleopatra mentions the Octavian is not Caesar's 'flesh and blood'. Octavian was in fact, Caesar's grandnephew, the son of Caesar's niece Atia (though Caesar introduces him as simply his 'nephew', whether this is a goof or just simplification on Caesar's part is unclear)See more »
[On Caesarion]
Marc Antony:[to Octavian] Looks like you have competition.
Octavian:I don't think so. Caesar will never name him his heir.
Marc Antony:You know the future?
Octavian:I know my uncle.

Hollywood strikes again, 28 July 1999
Author: dgoddess from NYC area, USA

Hollywood strikes again. The miniseries trys to cram too much into too little time. The first part was great mainly due to Timothy Dalton. He played a very strong Caesar. The second part lost its drive. I don't know if it was casting or plot. Just watch the first part. You know what happens in the end anyway.
