Spoilers

The trivia items below may give away important plot points.

The scene with Naomi and Beau in the bedroom was originally much longer and Naomi was much more open to the idea of intimacy. The scene was later re-shot and shortened after test audiences felt a woman who had been raped would not be so willingly dominated, even while under the influence of alcohol.

James Marsden was disappointed that one of his best scenes in the movie was cut out of the final version of the film. The scene included Derek making a phone call to his parents on the verge of tears, but the director felt it would make the audience too sympathetic towards Derek. The scene is included in the deleted scenes on some version of the DVD release.
