overlooked little gem of a film
29 August 2003 | by (Swansea, Wales, UK) – See all my reviews

A little Masterpiece! Billy Connolly is superb as the dubious Deacon, and the supporting cast are terrific too. Filmed with the highest quality the BBC strives for, this little gem of a film has been somewhat overshadowed by Connolly's "Mrs Brown". Well worth catching, a rollicking bawdy tale of Ye Olde Scotland! Enjoy!
