Trivia

Following the terrorist attacks on the USA of 11 September 2001, the episode 'A Scare in the Air' had its title changed to 'Spirits in the Sky'. The episode 'Tentacool and Tentacruel' was pulled from the rotation due to its storyline which featured a creature that destroyed skyscrapers. In total, there were three episodes that were pulled because of 9/11, which have since been put back since Cartoon Network started showing reruns. See more »

Another response to Gal-5
28 December 1999 | by (Schaumburg, IL) – See all my reviews

Probably tired of all these comments, but I have to comment on Gal-5's latest comment. First off, it is not a "fact" that Pokemon is "the worst show ever," but your opinion. More so, however, I want to ask in general why people are becoming so incredibly superficial when it comes to judging cartoons. You say horrible animation. I say what does it matter. The show's appeal comes from the characters, not the animation. Good animation is cool, but that's not what I judge it on. I encounter the same type of judgment when people talk about video games. People, take my advice. Animation is not the most important thing about cartoons. The characters are what make it worth watching.
