They took it too far
21 February 2009 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

As a 90's child, I grew up with Pokemon. I played and still play the Pokemon games and I used to watch the show diligently. I knew everything there was to know up about it until around the 250th Pokemon. The show was original and fun to watch. I especially liked the original Pokemon where the group is in Kanto. I started to lose interest when they went to Johto but then there were more and more Pokemon being added. It seemed like the designers were running out of ideas because the new Pokemon (after Johto) were not as aesthetically pleasing as the first 250 something Pokemon and I can not keep up anymore. The show has become repetitive and annoying. The Pokemon now lack a personality and Team Rocket is pointless. Ash and Pikachu barely say anything to each other besides Ash's usual screaming of "PIKACHU!!! ARE YOU OKAY?!!!" that comes every single episode after Team Rocket's attempt to steal it. They really should have stopped because Pokemon now lacks a storyline. I feel ashamed to see my younger brother buy into the Pokemon craze with the new Pokemon and games. In my mind, Pokemon ended after they finished up in the Johto region. The rest of the new Pokemon are just illegitimate.
