I saw this movie on the Animal Planet channel, and it was really a sweet movie. It was about a little girl who was injured in a car accident that claimed her father's life. She and her mother move into a trailer park, and next door is a stable. She soon falls in love with a horse named Ginger, who has also gone through some rough times. The two of them form a bond, and begin Barrel Racing. This was just a really nice story, with good acting. I recommend it to anyone, but especially people who love animals and horses.

Super family movie; the plot is predictable, but enjoyable anyway. It even jerks a tear or two. I highly recommend this movie for families with young children and/or morals, as it contains no sex, no violence, and no strong language! It's also a great movie for horse lovers.

As it begins, one thinks, "Here's another unhappy child-meets-horse and is cured movie." But, stick with it--it's an excellent (and said to be true) story. The 11 year old heroine is a bit weak only in the few scenes calling for sorrow, but she more than makes up for it with her especially graceful posting. The adults all seem to be accomplished actors, with many TV roles' experience. It was good to see Stu Whitman again. My only negative is the painfully loud "background" or theme music. All the songs appear to have been written and performed by the person(s) in charge of dubbing the music, and I guess he wanted to be sure it could be heard. (Keep your remote volume control in hand throughout.)

I am actually a fan of some of the stars of this movie...I love both the
actors from "the nanny" and had seen the main character "Sunny" of this
movie in "A Little Princess." I guess if you don't technically get into
the
horse issues or the riding issues, it is a cute movie it was acted pretty
well for a "B" movie. I did have two problems with it
though:
Why do they insist on using adult riders? I think it would have been just
as happy to see trained kids doing the riding so it at least looked
better.
I don't need to see world record breaking speed or technique, they are
supposed to be little girls riding, so why not let little girls do the
riding? Girl barrel racers would have been cute to see.
I know that in cases like these it is impossible not to use more than one
horse, but I don't understand why they would use an <obviously> male
horse for a great deal of the riding and racing when it is supposed to be
a
mare? I do have contact with horses, and can tell when they used many many
horses for Ginger, but you'd think they could at least use a mare!
:)
