During Neelam Show, the scene just before Shah Rukh Khan speaks, there is a scene in which a guy pleads her girl friend to leave him because he has found a new girl. The guy's role was played by none other than Nikhil Advani who directed Shah Rukh Khan in 'Kal Ho Na Ho' and the new girl was Farah Khan who directed Shah Rukh Khan in 'Main Hoon Naa' and 'Om Shanti Om'.
During a bike riding sequence in one song, Kajol lost control of the bike and cut her knee quite badly. You can just see her losing control before the camera cuts out the shot. Kajol hit the ground hard and actually lost consciousness for several minutes.
The scene at the end of "Ladki Badi Anjaani Hai" where Kajol's sari flies in the air and Shah Rukh Khan realizes her love for her, was not originally in the script. Farah Khan added it, believing it added a filmy touch to the scene.
The scene in which Kajol walks up to Rani and Shah Rukh Khan dressed up in a blinding pink and orange dress, is laughed at by none other than Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra sitting on the stairs. Farah Khan wears a cap and Manish is seen sitting right next to her.
When Karan Johar wanted to make a film, he had 2 story ideas for 2 films and he dint know which film to make. Then he decided to mix the both story ideas and make it into one film and the result was Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
This was the first of five successive movies made by Karan Johar to have the movie title start with K. The next movies that followed with the prominent use of K were Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001, Kal Ho Naa Ho in 2003, Kaal in 2005 and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna in 2006.
Karan Johar had approached Javed Akhtar to write the songs of this film, but Javed Saab refused because he was not comfortable with the tittle. But then Javed Akhtar wrote the songs of Karan Johar's next film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
