This is definitely a bridge over troubled water and bourbon.

Warning: Spoilers
While their love of cards keeps them entertained on their honeymoon, newlyweds Leon Errol and Geneva Mitchell begin to have problems as a result of her obsession with playing bridge, taking precedence for her over their marriage and resulting in difficulties when he comes over to her friend's house, doesn't get involved in the game and causes a ruckus when she's trying to concentrate. Before long, he's trying to find different distractions, and that makes things worse.

The alastic legs of Leon Errol get a good workout as he gets bombed out of his head while watching her play which leads to a very dark ending that utilizes the set from Al Jolson's movie musical "Wonder Bar" and is quite sardonic. Leon's great in this one as he's completely reacting to everything going on, and in the end gets two conclusions.
