One of the best TV series I have ever saw, if not the best., 7 August 2001

This TV series is, in my opinion the nowadays best one about Shinsengumi. I am Fukuchou of a western Shinsengumi fans Association, and thus have in my personal collection a LOT of TV series and movies on Shinsengumi. But this one is my favourite! If I can give you an advice, watch it! It's great! The actors act really great in their characters, the story is beautiful to the point of crying, and it's perfect. (hm, you can see I like that series very much, *lol*)

I have something to add to the info on the page about the series : Chiharu Matsuyama plays Serizawa Kamo in the series, and he's also the one who sings the ending theme, "Sayonara". He's a famous singer in Japan, I like that song a lot. Other thing : This TV series is taken from the book of the same title, (several different storyes about the Shinsengumi, a very good book), from Shiba Ryoutaro, one of the most famous Japanese writers in this century. Although, the TV series tells us not only the story of the book, but all the end of it is taken from another book from this author, "Moeyo Ken", that is the favourite roman on the Shinsengumi of most fans. It tells the end of Boshin War, and what happens to each of the three main characters (no, I won't tell you, watch the series and cry like me.....).

It's really a great series, and it's worthy to run to buy now... ^_^ (I'm not getting paid to say it. *lol* I love that series).
