Storyline
Plot Summary |
The virtuoso bureaucrat Petukhov finds himself in an incredible situation: after returning from his bride after a three-day absence, he discovers that he was buried, and on completely legal grounds. The body of a man who died under a car (a pickpocket who stole a wallet from Petukhov) was mistaken for Petukhov's body. In an attempt to prove his existence in the usual bureaucratic ways, Petukhov begins to obtain a certificate that he is alive. Written by Bazza the Beast |

Trivia | This is the only one of Leonid Gaidai's films, which has undergone substantial censorship: from a feature film, which plays around ironically with Soviet bureaucracy and chicanery, under pressure from the Minister of Culture of the USSR Nikolai Mikhailov, a lot of material was cut, which turned the feature into a short.
