Special guests Eddie Izzard and Richard Wilson join regulars Angus Deayton, Ian Hislop and Paul Merton for a special edition of the satirical TV news quiz; an all-out attack on the big news stories of 1995, not to mention a wallow in the year's tabloid sleaze. Written by

This is a favourite TV series of mine, a kind of satirical news quiz, so any video of it is more than welcome, and here the censors have not been allowed to cut anything out, which is a bonus. Richard Wilson (better known as Victor Meldrew) makes an excellently funny guest star, but who invited that bloke who went on to ruin most of the Spring '96 TV series? Eddie Izzard is a great stand-up comic and impressionist, but he' never come across as anything apart from a fish out of water as far as this show is concerned.
However, this video is still unmissable. The regulars are at their best and there's also a humorous behind-the-scenes sequence. A classic.
